OVERVIEW

Grassroots Soccer Development Program
Player age range is from 4-11 years old. Head Coach Wahid Byrd will be implementing a Player Focused Practice/Game environment. For the first half of Practice, all players use their own ball learning ball skills while playing age appropriate activities. Next, we play small sided games with players of similar ability. Players see a significant increase in their skill level in just one season! At games, players are grouped according to age and ability. Game day rosters are kept small, so the players have plenty of playing time!

Equipment Needed

PLEASE BRING A BALL TO PRACTICE

            4-5 year old -- size 3 ball
            6-11 year old -- size 4 ball

• Please bring a ball and water to practice.
• Wear whatever athletic outfit feels comfortable.
• Shin guards are recommended.
• Cleats are recommended for players 7 years old and up.

Important Dates

• We will send you a Welcome Email and the practice schedule on Friday, August 15th.
• Practices will begin the week of August 19th.
• Rosters will be posted by Friday, August 29th.
• Games will begin September 7th.

GAMES

Players can wear any athletic footwear.  Shin guards are required to be worn on game day.

• Times:  One hour game between 1:30PM - 5:30PM
• Dates:  Sundays. September 7, 14, 21, 28 October 5, 19, (Makeup October 26)

PRACTICES

 

• Times:  All Practice sessions will be between 5:00PM - 7:00PM
• Dates: Tuesdays Practice begins mid-August

UNIFORMS 

Uniform kit can be used multiple seasons.  Uniform set includes: 1 blue shirt, 1 green shirt, 1 black short, 1 black pair of socks.  

NOTE:  Uniforms purchased online will be distributed at pre-season practice
